Setting Out Manager – Manufacturing Operations

About the role

The Setting Out Manager will lead the coordination of internal and external clients together with the Setting Out team to ensure smooth project manufacturing, on‑time delivery and client satisfaction while balancing quality and cost performance.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the end‑to‑end setting‑out process, from site surveys and shop‑drawing development to cutting‑list issuance and loading‑line preparation.
• Review project specifications, manage material take‑offs, procurement and ensure all materials arrive before production starts.
• Control the shop‑drawing preparation and submittal workflow, handling client expectations and programme schedules.
• Coordinate with production departments, manage variations, and resolve discrepancies between specifications and design details.
• Identify and manage RFIs, source hardware accessories, and optimise procurement where possible.
• Prepare project status reports and forward‑plan schedules for cutting‑list issuance.

Required profile

• Minimum ten years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in joinery or related sectors.
• Proven track record in managing setting‑out activities, from site surveys to material ordering and production planning.
• Strong ability to communicate with clients and internal functional areas to align project requirements.
