Smart Operations Solutions Engineer

About the role

Fives Services Gulf is looking for a Smart Operations Solutions Engineer to design, develop, integrate and support digital solutions that enhance maintenance and operational excellence. You will work at the intersection of Operational Technology (OT) and Information Technology (IT) to deliver real‑time visibility, process automation and data‑driven decision‑making for our customers and internal teams.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement digital solutions that connect maintenance operations, Smart Crane technologies, SAP Business One, Microsoft Fabric, Power BI and Microsoft Power Platform.
• Support, manage and optimise Smart Crane systems, maintenance operations systems and Industrial IoT (IIoT) devices.
• Integrate operational and maintenance data with enterprise applications and analytics platforms to enable real‑time monitoring, predictive maintenance and asset performance initiatives.
• Act as a bridge between OT and IT, collaborating with customers, operations teams and business stakeholders.
• Troubleshoot system issues, identify improvement opportunities and ensure seamless data flow across platforms.

Required profile

• Proven experience in developing and integrating digital solutions for industrial environments.
• Strong understanding of OT and IT convergence, with the ability to work closely with both technical and business teams.
• Experience in supporting complex hardware and software systems in a manufacturing or heavy‑industry setting.
