Smart Operations Solutions Engineer

About the role

Fives Services Gulf, the Fives service centre for the Middle East with a team of 160 people in Bahrain, UAE and Saudi Arabia, is looking for a Smart Operations Solutions Engineer. The engineer supports the deployment and integration of Fives digital solutions, helping customers achieve operation and maintenance outcomes through onboarding, adoption and proactive monitoring of solution usage. The role acts as a bridge between Operational Technology (OT) and Information Technology (IT) and supports solution commissioning.

Key responsibilities

• Onboarding: guide customers through the first steps, train them and help them integrate the solution into daily operations
• Adoption: ensure customers use the product meaningfully, provide support, troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, system upgrades and user assistance on site and remotely
• Deliver customer meetings, workshops, demonstrations and technical presentations; gather and document requirements and act as the main technical point of contact
• Proactive monitoring: spot reduced usage, bugs, low uptime and other risks early, support real-time monitoring, process automation and predictive maintenance, and troubleshoot system issues
• Ensure compliance with cybersecurity, OT security, data governance and business continuity requirements, and maintain technical documentation and standards
• Help customers reach their business, operational or financial objectives, track KPIs and support contract renewals and natural upsell/crosssell opportunities based on delivered value

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Automation, IT, Computer Science or a related field
• Strong field experience, preferably in aluminium smelting
• At least 3 years and at most 5 years of relevant experience
• Advanced user of MS Office
• Regular regional or international travel and regular on-site presence required
