Project Manager - Technology Transformation, Financial Services

About the role

A leading international financial services organisation in Bahrain is looking for an experienced, hands-on Project Manager to join its Technology team. You will lead technology transformation, manage complex projects and work with senior stakeholders across regional markets, helping deliver technology initiatives that create measurable business value.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end technology projects, from planning and execution through implementation and delivery.
• Manage scope, budgets, timelines, resources and deliverables using Agile, Waterfall or Hybrid methods.
• Drive IT change management, SDLC, release management and project governance.
• Work with business leaders, technology teams, vendors and regional stakeholders.
• Identify and manage risks, dependencies and compliance requirements.
• Support digital transformation, process improvement and business change initiatives.
• Prepare project reports, dashboards and updates for senior management.
• Ensure projects meet quality, security and regulatory standards.

Required profile

• Minimum 7 years of experience in technology project management.
• Minimum 5 years in financial services, preferably in cards, payments or banking.
• PMP, PRINCE2 Practitioner or equivalent certification required.
• Experience managing vendors, budgets and cross-functional teams.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of Agile, Waterfall and Hybrid delivery.
• Experience in IT governance, SDLC, change management and regulatory compliance.
• Familiarity with Jira, Celoxis, ITSM or similar tools; exposure to AI-enabled project management tools is an advantage.
