Subject Matter Expert - Mining

About the role

We are looking for a Subject Matter Expert in Mining to support our sales organization, identify new business opportunities and help achieve budget targets. The role combines deep mining domain knowledge with customer‑facing activities to deliver tailored solutions and strengthen strategic relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Provide mining‑specific expertise to sales teams to uncover opportunities and contribute to OI budget achievement.
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships, delivering customer‑centric solutions and gathering feedback.
• Develop and execute relationship‑management plans for strategic and complex accounts at local and corporate levels.
• Coordinate information flow between Yokogawa and customer organisations to resolve issues efficiently.
• Consult with customer representatives, introduce internal specialists and analyse complex customer data.
• Lead cross‑functional teams to design bespoke product‑and‑service solutions and negotiate contractual terms.
• Collaborate with Business Marketing, Market Intelligence and other departments to improve internal and external relationships.
• Support global teams in maintaining the CRM system and propose improvements for better relationship management.

Required profile

• Specialty knowledge of the mining industry and its challenges.
• Proven experience in customer‑facing roles and managing complex accounts.
• Ability to lead cross‑functional teams and drive solution design.
• Strong collaboration skills with internal departments such as marketing and market intelligence.
