System Administrator Tier III

About the role

Trace Systems is hiring a System Administrator Tier III to maintain and operate a computer system and/or network. The position is based in Bahrain and requires US citizenship and a US government-issued Secret clearance.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and operate a computer system and/or network
• Deploy, manage and troubleshoot Windows Active Directory, Group Policy Objects (GPOs) and DNS
• Administer Microsoft Exchange environments (Exchange 2003 and Exchange 2010)
• Assess and apply vendor security patches and updates
• Manage enterprise storage (SAN and NAS) and optimize server performance using monitoring tools
• Use Microsoft System Center Operations Manager (SCOM) and SCCM for configuration and management
• Produce detailed technical documentation and plan changes to network infrastructure

Required profile

• Active, in-scope US Secret clearance (interim acceptable); US citizenship required
• DoD 8140 qualification (Work Role 451, System Administrator, Advanced) via education, military training, certifications or a combination
• Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience with Windows Server 2003 and Exchange 2003
• At least 2 years of experience in a military environment
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or an associate's degree plus 7 years of specialized experience, or 11 years of specialized experience
• Able to travel up to 10% to support the mission

Required skills

• Windows Server 2003 and Exchange 2003 administration
• Certification such as SecurityX/CASP+, CCNP Security, CISA, CISSP, CISSA, GCED, GCIH or CCSP
• Backup solutions such as Symantec Backup Exec and NetApp SNAP Manager
