Oracle Database Administrator (OCI)

About the role

FCS Infotech is looking for an experienced Oracle Database Administrator with strong Oracle Database Administration and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) expertise for a position in Bahrain. The role covers database administration, performance tuning, backups and recovery, data protection, security, cloud database management, migrations and production support. Immediate joiners or candidates available at short notice are preferred.

Key responsibilities

• Administer Oracle Database 19c
• Tune database performance
• Perform RMAN backups and recovery
• Manage Oracle Data Guard, disaster recovery and high availability
• Handle database security, cloud database management and migrations
• Provide production support

Required profile

• Minimum 7 years of experience as an Oracle DBA
• Strong hands-on Oracle database administration experience
• Practical experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI)
• Knowledge of RMAN backup and recovery
• Experience with Oracle Data Guard, disaster recovery and high availability
• Strong SQL and troubleshooting skills
• Experience in database performance tuning and production support
• Knowledge of Linux operating systems
• Willingness to relocate to Bahrain
• Immediate availability or ability to join at short notice preferred
