Treasury Operations Officer

About the role

The Treasury Operations Officer will support the bank's treasury function by performing accurate clerical, data entry, reconciliation and monitoring tasks. The role ensures compliance with internal processes and external regulations while contributing to continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Execute demanding clerical and data‑input activities, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Perform reconciliations, data administration and monitoring services in line with bank standards.
• Identify and propose enhancements to processes, procedures and systems to boost efficiency.
• Stay informed on market conditions and bank products to apply best practices.
• Participate in testing and implementation of new IT systems or product upgrades.
• Prepare reports and escalate irregularities to management and regulatory units.
• Provide backup coverage for colleagues and support business operations during weekends and holidays when markets are open.
• Respond to internal and external enquiries, delivering clear information.
• Support line management with change implementation and project delivery within scope and budget.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of treasury banking products, services, operations and related technology.
• Basic knowledge of accounting standards applicable to treasury products.
• Clear oral and written communication skills, free of jargon.
• Effective task prioritisation and ability to meet deadlines.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite and Visio, and ability to extract and report data from relevant systems.
