Urdu Quality Assurance Lead (Remote)

About the role

This remote, hourly contract position is for an Urdu Quality Assurance Lead who will oversee the quality and consistency of AI‑generated Urdu content. You will work with a fast‑growing AI data services company, ensuring that training data meets high linguistic and cultural standards.

Key responsibilities

• Review AI‑generated Urdu content and trainer/QA work against detailed project rubrics.
• Provide precise written feedback in English to improve accuracy, fluency, grammar, tone, cultural appropriateness, and formatting.
• Identify recurring quality issues and communicate updates to trainers and QA teams.
• Support onboarding of new contributors and maintain up‑to‑date documentation.
• Activate and monitor contributors who are not consistently delivering work.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Urdu, Linguistics, Translation, Communications, Journalism, English, Education, Quality Assurance, or a related field.
• Native or near‑native proficiency in Urdu (reading and writing) and strong command of English.
• 3+ years of professional experience in Urdu writing, editing, translation, localization, content QA, AI training, annotation, or similar workflows.
• Deep knowledge of Urdu grammar, spelling, punctuation, tone, register, Nastaliq script conventions, and right‑to‑left formatting.
• Experience leading or supporting remote teams of trainers, annotators, reviewers, editors, or QAs is strongly preferred.
