Visual Merchandiser Assistant – Retail (Bahrain)

About the role

The Visual Merchandiser Assistant will support the visual merchandising function for Marks & Spencer stores in Bahrain, ensuring brand standards are consistently applied across the shop floor, windows and promotional areas. You will work closely with the Senior Visual Merchandiser and store teams to deliver seasonal launches and maintain a compelling customer experience.

Key responsibilities

• Follow the Visual Merchandising Guidelines and roll them out throughout the store.
• Implement well‑styled mannequins in line with the styling policy.
• Use appropriate styling techniques and visual elements to aid customer segmentation.
• Ensure excellent visual standards across all business units and windows.
• Assist the Senior Visual Merchandiser and store teams with seasonal launches and events.
• Stay aware of store best‑sellers and competitor activities.
• Educate and train sales staff to keep visual merchandising on brand.
• Maintain and adhere to the visual‑merchandising checklist.
• Liaise daily with the Visual Merchandiser for updates on processes and requirements.
• Deliver design for POS, windows and other visual merchandising assets as required.

Required profile

• Graduate degree in Fashion or a related field.
• At least 3 years of experience in a visual merchandising role within a fashion retail brand.
• Fashion degree or diploma.
• Ability to communicate effectively with retail staff at all levels.

• Strong communication skills for training and collaboration.
• Keen awareness of fashion trends and competitor activities.
• Ability to execute styling policies and adhere to brand guidelines.
