Waiter/Waitress – Downtown Rotana Hotel

About the role

We are seeking dynamic, self‑motivated Food & Beverage professionals to join our team at Downtown Rotana Hotel in Manama, Bahrain. As a Waiter/Waitress you will deliver professional, personalized service that creates memorable dining experiences for our guests.

Key responsibilities

• Serve food and beverages in line with the hotel’s performance standards.
• Greet, seat, and attend to guests with discretion and professionalism.
• Maintain in‑depth knowledge of the outlet’s menu to advise and assist guests.
• Monitor food and beverage quality throughout service.
• Handle customer inquiries and complaints promptly and satisfactorily.
• Uphold hygiene and cleanliness standards and maintain service equipment.
• Prepare the outlet before, during, and after service (mise‑en‑place and mise‑en‑scène).
• Minimise waste, breakage, and spoilage.
• Utilise up‑selling techniques to exceed expectations and boost revenue.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in hospitality or vocational training in food & beverage.
• Previous experience as a waiter/waitress in a high‑volume restaurant.
• Strong command of English.
• Passion for people‑focused service, positive attitude, and ability to stay calm under pressure.
• Attention to detail and ability to work in a busy environment.
• Competencies: adaptability, customer focus, recognizing differences, taking responsibility, teamwork, understanding the job.
