About the role
We are seeking a Cook II to join our kitchen team at The Ritz‑Carlton in Manama. The role focuses on preparing high‑quality dishes and supporting the culinary operations in line with our Gold Standards.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare, portion, chop, and store ingredients, including washing and peeling fresh produce.
- Weigh, measure, mix, and cook food according to recipes, quality and presentation standards.
- Operate ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves and fryers, and test foods for proper doneness.
- Set up and break down work stations, serve food in correct portions, and maintain a clean kitchen environment.
- Wash and disinfect kitchen tools, equipment and surfaces, and monitor appliance and food temperatures.
- Follow all safety, security and company policies, reporting any hazards or incidents.
Required profile
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum 1 year of relevant kitchen experience.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift and carry objects up to 25 lb without assistance.
- Commitment to uniform appearance, confidentiality and professional communication.
