Assistant Manager – Retail Store

About the role

The Assistant Manager supports the Shop/Department Manager in running daily operations and steps in as needed to maintain high standards of customer service and store performance.

Key responsibilities

• Communicate sales plans and targets to the team, monitor performance and recommend corrective actions.
• Assign routine and non‑routine tasks, assist in scheduling Sales Associates, Cashiers and Coordinators.
• Greet customers, ensure timely service and compliance with quality standards.
• Report operational issues, handle customer complaints promptly and propose solutions or escalations.
• Assist with inventory maintenance, product ordering and stock availability.
• Motivate and support team members through training and development.
• Supervise opening procedures, including petty cash, reporting and system checks.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree.
• 1–2 years of experience in a managerial role; retail experience is a plus.
• Good product knowledge and understanding of store operating procedures.
• Fluency in English.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Office.
