About the role
The Assistant Manager supports the Shop/Department Manager in running daily operations and steps in as needed to maintain high standards of customer service and store performance.
Key responsibilities
- Communicate sales plans and targets to the team, monitor performance and recommend corrective actions.
- Assign routine and non‑routine tasks, assist in scheduling Sales Associates, Cashiers and Coordinators.
- Greet customers, ensure timely service and compliance with quality standards.
- Report operational issues, handle customer complaints promptly and propose solutions or escalations.
- Assist with inventory maintenance, product ordering and stock availability.
- Motivate and support team members through training and development.
- Supervise opening procedures, including petty cash, reporting and system checks.
Required profile
- Bachelor's degree.
- 1–2 years of experience in a managerial role; retail experience is a plus.
- Good product knowledge and understanding of store operating procedures.
- Fluency in English.
Required skills
- Proficiency in MS Office.
