Chef – Prepare High-Quality Dishes

About the role

We are seeking a skilled and passionate Chef to join our kitchen team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing high‑quality dishes while upholding the highest standards of taste, presentation, and food safety.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and cook dishes according to recipes and company standards.
• Ensure the quality, freshness, taste, and presentation of all food.
• Organise daily food preparation and kitchen activities.
• Monitor food ingredients, stock levels, and kitchen supplies.
• Assist with menu planning and development of new dishes when required.
• Maintain proper food storage, portion control, and stock rotation.
• Keep the kitchen, equipment, and work areas clean and hygienic.
• Minimise food waste and control ingredient usage.
• Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth food preparation and service.
• Guide and supervise kitchen helpers and junior staff when required.
• Check dishes before serving to ensure they meet quality standards.
• Follow food safety, hygiene, and workplace safety procedures.
• Report equipment issues, stock shortages, or food quality concerns.
• Assist with ordering and receiving ingredients when required.
• Perform other kitchen duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Certificate, Diploma, or relevant qualification in Culinary Arts or a related field.
• Previous experience as a Chef or in a professional kitchen is preferred.
• Good knowledge of cooking techniques and food preparation.
• Good understanding of food safety and hygiene standards.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to food quality.
• Good teamwork, communication, and time‑management skills.
• Able to work efficiently under pressure.
• Creative, responsible, and passionate about cooking.
• Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays when required.
