Electrical Technician

About the role

The Electrical Technician will be responsible for installing, inspecting, maintaining, troubleshooting and repairing electrical systems across commercial, residential and industrial sites. The role also includes the installation, commissioning and upkeep of Electric Vehicle (EV) charging stations while ensuring compliance with Bahrain EWA regulations and company safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Install, maintain, troubleshoot and repair electrical wiring, distribution boards, circuit breakers, lighting, sockets and power outlets.
• Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics and technical specifications.
• Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance on all electrical assets.
• Install, commission, test and maintain EV charging stations, including related cabling, protective devices and distribution systems.
• Conduct routine inspections and ensure compliance with EWA regulations and safety standards.
• Prepare installation reports, commissioning documents and maintenance records.
• Coordinate with suppliers, contractors and clients during installation projects.
• Respond to maintenance requests and emergency breakdowns, maintaining tools and equipment in good condition.

Required profile

• Valid EWA Electrical Technician License (mandatory).
• Diploma, ITI or Technical Certificate in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Technology.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in electrical installation and maintenance, preferably in commercial or facilities‑management environments.
• Experience with EV charger installation is an advantage.
• Strong time‑management and organizational abilities.
