Quality Assurance Quality Control Inspector

About the role

The Quality Assurance/Quality Control Inspector ensures that all welding and fabrication activities meet the required standards and specifications. The role focuses on preventing defects through robust planning and on‑site verification, aligning with ISO 9001 requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Develop Project Quality Plans (PQP), Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) and Quality Control Procedures mapped to ISO 9001.
• Execute inspections such as visual checks, mechanical fit‑ups and dimensional controls, and enforce defined "Hold and Witness" points on site.
• Review and qualify Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS) and Welder Performance Qualifications (WPQ); verify NDT reports.
• Validate Material Test Certificates (MTC), perform Positive Material Identification (PMI) and control consumables.
• Witness hydro‑pneumatic testing, calibrate instrumentation and compile documentation dossiers for operational handover.
• Raise Non‑Conformance Reports (NCRs), lead root‑cause analysis and manage corrective actions.

Required profile

• Proven experience in QA/QC within welding, fabrication or related industrial projects.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001 quality management systems.
• Ability to interpret technical specifications and inspection documents.

Required skills

• Project Quality Plans (PQP) and Inspection & Test Plans (ITP) development.
• Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS) and Welder Performance Qualification (WPQ) review.
• Non‑Destructive Testing (NDT) report verification.
• Material Test Certificates (MTC) validation and Positive Material Identification (PMI).
• Hydro‑pneumatic testing and instrumentation calibration.
• Non‑Conformance Report (NCR) creation, root‑cause analysis and corrective‑action management.
