Sales Executive – Groups & Events

About the role

Join Raffles Al Areen Palace Bahrain as a Sales Executive focused on groups and events. You will be responsible for driving new business across corporate meetings, weddings, social events, and tour groups, ensuring a seamless experience for clients from inquiry to execution.

Key responsibilities

• Prospect and solicit new group and event business through calls, site visits, and networking.
• Respond to incoming group RFPs within 2 hours and convert qualified leads into bookings.
• Conduct personalized hotel site inspections and tours for planners and decision‑makers.
• Negotiate and prepare group contracts, including rates, attrition clauses, cutoff dates, and F&B minimums.
• Upsell meeting packages, AV equipment, upgraded menus, and additional room nights to maximize revenue.
• Create detailed Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) and Group Resumes for operational hand‑off.
• Serve as the primary on‑site client contact during events, resolving issues and ensuring satisfaction.
• Forecast weekly room‑night pick‑up, monitor attrition risk, and track all activity in a CRM system.

Required profile

• Minimum 12 months experience in a proactive sales role, preferably within a hotel or conference/events environment.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced setting with strong planning and execution skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and strong communication with all stakeholders.
• Understanding of budgeting, forecasting, and report preparation.
• Independent worker who can also build strong internal relationships.
• Confident negotiator with networking abilities; Arabic speaking is a plus.

Required skills

• Experience with CRM platforms such as Delphi or Cvent.
