About the role
Our banking client in Bahrain is looking for a senior leader to oversee IT operations, governance and control, ensuring processes are streamlined, compliance is enforced and technology aligns with business strategy.
Key responsibilities
- Establish and harmonise governance frameworks, service level agreements and control measures across the group.
- Manage technology budgets (CAPEX/OPEX), expense control and inter‑entity recharges.
- Track key performance indicators, operational risks, resource capacity and asset utilisation.
- Oversee vendor management, licence compliance and incident reporting.
- Collaborate closely with Finance, Strategy and the PMO to ensure alignment and accurate reporting.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science or a related field.
- Experience with ISO 27001 or PCI‑DSS certification.
- Proven background in banking or financial services.
- Senior IT governance experience, preferably in the GCC region.
- Strong knowledge of IT applications, infrastructure, operations and architecture.
