Account Control Consultant – Payments Fintech

About the role

TapTap Payments is looking for an Account Control Consultant to join its Business Team in Bahrain. You will act as the bridge between merchants, sales, and payment processors, ensuring smooth onboarding and ongoing account management.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate with the Sales team to capture pre‑application data and collect required merchant documentation.
• Perform initial underwriting checks following processor and vendor KYC guidelines.
• Accurately board new merchant accounts and liaise with processors to secure approvals.
• Review merchant accounts, diagnose configuration issues, and de‑escalate dissatisfied merchants.
• Build strong internal relationships to meet launch expectations and maintain deep knowledge of processor/vendor products.
• Serve as the subject‑matter expert for TapTap Payments’ products and services.
• Execute additional duties as the business evolves.

Required profile

• 1‑2 years of experience in financial services, fintech, or high‑growth startups.
• Preferred degree, though relevant experience is accepted.
• Ability to establish credibility with internal and external stakeholders.
• Strong understanding of client/merchant care and how the role supports the business.
• Enthusiasm for working in a fast‑growing fintech environment.
• Excellent teamwork, communication in English and Arabic (native speaker), and problem‑solving skills.
