Architect

About the role

A growing firm in the Architecture & Design department is hiring a full-time, professional-level Architect. The role covers developing architectural concepts, preparing design plans, coordinating project requirements and making sure building designs meet functional, aesthetic and regulatory standards, working with multidisciplinary professionals.

Key responsibilities

• Develop architectural concepts, layouts and design proposals for various projects
• Prepare detailed drawings, plans, elevations and construction documentation
• Collaborate with clients, engineers, contractors and other stakeholders
• Review building specifications, site conditions and project requirements
• Ensure designs comply with building codes, safety standards and regulations
• Use CAD and 3D modelling software to develop and present concepts
• Coordinate with structural, mechanical and electrical engineering teams
• Monitor project progress and give technical support during construction
• Review materials, finishes and construction details, and recommend practical solutions to design challenges
• Take part in client meetings, design presentations and project discussions, and keep accurate project documentation

Required profile

• Degree or professional qualification in Architecture or a related field
• Strong understanding of design principles, construction methods and building materials
• Knowledge of building regulations, construction documentation and safety requirements
• Fluent English; additional languages are an advantage

Required skills

• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp or similar architectural software
• 3D modelling, rendering and technical drawing standards
• Creative thinking, visualization, problem solving and attention to detail
• Project coordination, communication and teamwork
