Assistant Housekeeping Manager

About the role

The Assistant Housekeeping Manager supports daily operations across Housekeeping, Recreation/Health Club and Laundry areas at a Marriott property in Manama. This entry‑level management role ensures guest rooms and public spaces are clean, safe, and meet brand standards while fostering a positive work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in supervising housekeeping, recreation and laundry staff to maintain high cleanliness standards.
• Conduct room and public‑area inspections, reporting corrective actions and safety hazards.
• Support hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling and motivating team members.
• Ensure compliance with company safety, security and uniform policies.
• Welcome guests, anticipate service needs, and assist guests with disabilities.
• Maintain accurate records using computer or point‑of‑sale systems.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Minimum 1 year of relevant housekeeping experience.
• At least 1 year of supervisory experience.
• Physical ability to lift up to 55 lb unassisted and heavier items with assistance.
• Capability to stand, walk, kneel and perform repetitive motions throughout a shift.
• Basic computer literacy for data entry and information retrieval.
