Assistant Restaurant Manager (Spanish Speaker)

About the role

The Assistant Restaurant Manager will support the restaurant’s daily operations, ensuring seamless service and a welcoming environment for guests. This role requires strong teamwork, attention to detail, and the ability to act as a role‑model for staff, especially for Spanish‑speaking guests.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate staff to deliver optimal service and meet guest needs.
• Inspect staff grooming, attire and correct any deficiencies.
• Perform opening and closing duties, including setup, cleaning, securing premises and equipment.
• Maintain storage areas using FIFO, conduct inventories and requisition supplies.
• Monitor dining room seating, service flow, safety and guest wellbeing.
• Create work orders for maintenance and oversee their completion.
• Assist management with hiring, training, scheduling, performance evaluations, counseling and disciplinary actions.
• Enforce company, safety and security policies and report incidents.
• Welcome guests, anticipate service needs, assist guests with disabilities and ensure a professional appearance.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years of restaurant or food‑and‑beverage experience.
• At least 1 year of supervisory experience.
• Fluent in Spanish and English.
• Ability to lift ≤ 50 lb, stand or walk for extended periods and navigate stairs or ramps.
• Strong communication skills and a customer‑focused attitude.
