Assistant Vice President – Business Development

About the role

The Assistant Vice President (AVP) of Business Development will lead the growth strategy for our Bahrain office, identifying new opportunities, strengthening partnerships, and building relationships with key decision‑makers across broker channels and clients.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and coach Team Leaders and Account Executives to achieve sales targets.
• Oversee client portfolio management and respond to new business opportunities.
• Share professional expertise and knowledge with the team.
• Monitor workflow, prospecting activities, and secure new business deals.
• Apply legal and regulatory policies related to insurance contracts and advise clients on compliance.
• Identify and mitigate conflicts of interest.
• Ensure high‑quality service through robust processes and proactive issue resolution.
• Recruit and retain team members to maintain budgeted staffing levels.

Required profile

• University degree (higher professional qualifications such as ACII or FCII preferred).
• Proven experience in managing a team within a business development or insurance environment.
• Strong understanding of insurance legal and regulatory frameworks.
