Associate Factory Manager

About the role

We are seeking an Associate Factory Manager to lead and develop our joinery manufacturing operations, overseeing a workforce of over 700 employees. The role focuses on improving efficiency, quality and capacity across all production areas, from CNC machining to finishing.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse and optimise existing processes, proposing mechanisation and Lean improvements throughout the production cycle.
• Manage daily shop‑floor activities, monitor workload across assembly, milling, veneer, polishing and upholstery sections.
• Develop production schedules, allocate work in coordination with floor supervisors and adjust plans as required.
• Oversee new product development, selecting machines, tools, fixtures and inspection methods.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to align the plant with European manufacturing standards in housekeeping, health & safety and planning.
• Lead staff recruitment, performance management, training and development to maintain a skilled workforce.
• Coordinate with metal, purchasing, stores, logistics and H&S functions to ensure smooth operations.

Required profile

• 10‑15 years of experience in a senior management role within a large furniture or joinery manufacturing environment.
• Proven ability to lead a workforce of 700+ employees and manage complex production lines.
• Strong technical mindset with a track record of solving production bottlenecks and implementing capacity‑management strategies.
• Familiarity with European best practices in manufacturing, health & safety and quality assurance.
