Barista – Lobby Lounge

About the role

We are looking for an enthusiastic Barista to join the Lobby Lounge team at The Ritz‑Carlton Bahrain. You will be responsible for delivering high‑quality coffee and beverage service while ensuring a welcoming atmosphere for our guests.

Key responsibilities

• Perform opening and closing duties, including setting up supplies, cleaning equipment, and securing the area.
• Take guest orders, enter them into the MICROS POS system, and prepare coffee and food items.
• Handle cash transactions, count the bank at shift end, and complete cashier reports.
• Maintain cleanliness of workstations, coffee carts, tables, dishes, and equipment throughout the shift.
• Operate and monitor coffee machines and other appliances, turning them on/off as required.
• Adhere to safety, security, and company policies, reporting any hazards or incidents.
• Uphold professional appearance and uniform standards.

Required profile

• Ability to lift, carry, push, pull, or place objects up to 25 lb without assistance.
• Capability to stand, walk, or sit for extended periods during a shift.
• Good visual acuity for reading small print and inspecting equipment.
• Ability to work in confined or elevated spaces and navigate stairs or ramps.
• Strong communication skills, using clear and professional language with guests and colleagues.

Required skills

• Proficiency with the MICROS point‑of‑sale system.
• Cash handling and basic accounting for shift reconciliation.
• Coffee brewing and beverage preparation techniques.
