Business Analyst

About the role

We are a dynamic trading and distribution company in Bahrain’s FMCG sector, looking for a meticulous Business Analyst to turn raw sales data into actionable insights that support strategic decisions and drive growth across retailers, wholesalers, and pharmacies.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse sales data to identify trends, patterns and growth opportunities across product categories and customer segments.
• Develop and maintain regular sales reports, dashboards and performance metrics for senior management and the sales team.
• Monitor sales performance against targets, providing variance analysis and commentary.
• Support the sales team with data‑driven insights to optimise strategies and improve efficiency.
• Conduct market research and competitor analysis to deliver a comprehensive view of the market landscape.
• Assist in sales forecasting, annual budgeting and strategic planning processes.
• Collaborate with marketing, supply chain and finance to ensure alignment and support cross‑functional initiatives.
• Ensure data integrity and accuracy across all sales reporting systems.

Required profile

• Proven experience in sales analysis, business analysis or a similar analytical role, preferably within the FMCG sector.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Statistics or a related field.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proactive, self‑motivated and able to work independently or as part of a team.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, advanced formulas, data modelling).
• Experience with CRM systems.
• Knowledge of data visualisation tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
