Business Developer – Commercial Risk & Health Solutions

About the role

The Producer – Business Developer will lead new‑business generation and portfolio expansion for Aon Bahrain across Commercial Risk Solutions and Health Solutions. Reporting to senior leadership, the role combines insurance‑industry expertise with a strong personal network to increase market share and client penetration throughout Bahrain and the wider GCC.

Key responsibilities

• Achieve assigned business‑development and production targets for both Commercial Risk and Health solutions.
• Identify, originate and convert new opportunities using an extensive external network.
• Cross‑sell and up‑sell across Aon Bahrain, GCC offices and other Aon entities.
• Develop and execute growth plans, monitor market share and client penetration.
• Coordinate sales forecasting, planning and performance tracking; implement corrective action when targets are missed.
• Analyse sales data and business intelligence to support decision‑making.
• Identify process bottlenecks, propose improvements and work with stakeholders to optimise sales procedures.
• Build and maintain relationships with clients, prospects and internal stakeholders to promote a consistent client experience.

Required profile

• Proven experience in insurance business development, preferably within commercial risk and health sectors.
• Well‑established professional network in Bahrain and the GCC.
• Ability to act as an insurance generalist, understanding a broad range of client needs.
• Strong analytical mindset with experience in sales planning and performance management.
• Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills.
