Business Development Manager – GCC Market

About the role

TransferMate is seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to lead the launch of its commercial presence in Bahrain and the wider GCC region. Reporting to the APAC leadership team, you will own the end‑to‑end process of market entry, partnership development and revenue generation.

Key responsibilities

• Own new‑business acquisition across Bahrain and the GCC, targeting corporates, fintechs and strategic partners.
• Build and execute a local go‑to‑market strategy aligned with APAC leadership.
• Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting to deal closure.
• Develop strategic partnerships with banks, fintechs, ERP platforms and payroll providers.
• Create and maintain a high‑quality pipeline across short‑ and long‑term sales cycles.
• Deliver against ambitious revenue targets in a build‑phase environment.
• Collaborate cross‑functionally with product, compliance and marketing teams.
• Provide market intelligence to shape TransferMate’s GCC expansion strategy.
• Act as the Principal Representative approved by the Central Bank of Bahrain and oversee the representative office.

Required profile

• 5–8+ years of business development or sales experience in fintech, payments, FX or SaaS.
• Proven track record of closing new business and exceeding revenue targets.
• Experience building or scaling a new market, region or territory.
• Strong partnership development and stakeholder‑management capability.
• Ability to operate independently in a high‑growth, fast‑moving environment.
• Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills.
