CAD Draftsman – AutoCAD Specialist

About the role

We are seeking a skilled CAD Draftsman to create accurate 2‑D and 3‑D drawings for civil engineering projects. Reporting to the Site Engineer/Construction Manager, you will support the engineering team throughout the project lifecycle and ensure all documentation meets quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare detailed drawings and sketches on AutoCAD for assigned projects.
• Follow instructions from the Site Engineer/Construction Manager and provide administrative and functional reports.
• Produce shop drawings, as‑built drawings, and other 2‑D/3‑D sketches as required.
• Create detailed designs using CAD software and develop diagrams, maps, and layouts to illustrate workflow or progress.
• Review rough sketches with the engineering team and identify potential operational issues, redesigning where necessary.
• Coordinate with the Quality Engineer and Site Engineer for revised drawings and update existing shop drawings.
• Achieve all assigned targets and complete any additional tasks assigned by the Site Engineer/Construction Manager within the stipulated time frame.

Required profile

• Degree holder with at least 3 years of relevant experience, or Diploma holder with 5‑7 years.
• Experience in earthwork, offshore pipeline, or marine construction projects (e.g., rock revetment, reclamation, dredging) is preferred.
• Diploma, B.E. or B.Tech in Civil Engineering.

Required skills

• Proficiency in AutoCAD (2‑D and 3‑D).
• Strong command of MS Office applications.
• Knowledge of site quality testing methods and related instruments.
