Chef – Full‑time Kitchen Position

About the role
The Chef will prepare and cook food according to recipes and quality standards in a full‑time, on‑site role at our hotel kitchen in Manama, Bahrain.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients, portion, chop, wash, peel, weigh, measure and mix according to recipes.
- Cook and prepare hot and cold foods, operate ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves and fryers.
- Test food for doneness, monitor quality, and ensure proper presentation.
- Set up and break down work stations, serve food in correct portions, and maintain a clean, sanitized kitchen area.
- Check appliance and food temperatures, follow safety policies, and report any maintenance or safety issues.
Required profile
- High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
- At least 1 year of related kitchen experience.
- No supervisory experience required.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift up to 25 lb and perform physical tasks for an entire shift.
Required skills
- Basic food preparation and cooking techniques.
- Operation of standard kitchen equipment (ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, fryers).
- Knowledge of food safety, hygiene and temperature control.
