Chief Accountant

About the role

The Chief Accountant will lead the finance function, ensuring accurate financial reporting, budgeting, and compliance with local regulations. This senior position oversees daily finance operations and supports strategic decision‑making for the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze financial data and prepare reports, statements, and projections.
• Maintain and improve automated financial and accounting reporting systems.
• Develop short‑ and long‑term budgets, rolling forecasts, and monitor monthly results against budget.
• Prepare profit and loss statements, month‑end closing, and cost accounting reports.
• Oversee journal entries, invoices, payroll, and other accounting documents.
• Conduct balance‑sheet reconciliations, including bank reconciliations.
• Coordinate internal and external audits and ensure compliance with GAAP and local reporting requirements.
• Supervise the Finance Department in the absence of the Financial Controller and train, evaluate, and support staff.
• Provide management reporting, financial outlooks, and procedural improvement recommendations.

Required profile

• Proven experience in senior accounting roles, capable of covering all accounting functions during staff absences.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, budgeting, forecasting, and cost control principles.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of hotel and client information.
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
