College Dean of Administrative and Financial Sciences

About the role

The College Dean of Administrative and Financial Sciences leads the college council and is accountable for the overall quality of education, faculty affairs, and student conduct. Reporting directly to the Vice President for Academic Affairs, the Dean drives strategic initiatives, aligns programmes with international standards, and fosters research and community engagement.

Key responsibilities

• Implement the College Operational Plan and steer efforts toward university goals.
• Prepare and manage the college budget.
• Ensure compliance with academic policies, procedures, and terms of reference.
• Lead programme evaluation, development, and successful implementation.
• Maintain academic alignment with local, regional, and international standards.
• Oversee faculty promotion, retention, teaching loads, and quality of instruction.
• Facilitate communication between the college and other university units.
• Coordinate interdisciplinary programmes and partnerships with external organisations.
• Support student academic progression and contribute to admissions marketing.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the VPAA.

Required profile

• Doctoral degree in a field related to the college’s programmes.
• Maximum age of 50 years.
• At least five years of teaching experience, including three years of supervisory experience after obtaining the doctorate.
• Knowledge of quality assurance and accreditation, preferably AACSB.
• Arabic speaking is an advantage.
