Community Outreach Coordinator

About the role

The Community Outreach Coordinator will support RCSI Bahrain’s outreach initiatives by coordinating projects, events and placements that meet local community needs and enhance student employability and personal development.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in delivering community projects, placements and events that positively impact students and local communities.
• Promote outreach activities through email, social media, publications, press releases and volunteer recruitment campaigns.
• Recruit, induct, train and facilitate volunteers for various projects and events.
• Manage day‑to‑day administrative tasks, including maintaining the Community Engagement Database and updating internal/external communication channels.
• Create visual materials such as event posters, presentations, infographics and statistical graphs.
• Provide support to students, alumni and staff before, during and after events, including issuing letters and certificates.
• Liaise with external partners (charities, ministries, hospitals) and internal stakeholders (student development, marketing, quality enhancement).
• Prepare reports, coordinate surveys and respond to quality office requests.
• Collaborate with the Marketing and Communication Department to disseminate outreach information.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree minimum; healthcare background or experience preferred.
• Experience in community engagement, event management or corporate social responsibility.
• Fluency in English and Arabic.
• Experience coordinating health‑promotion programmes and projects.
• Knowledge of Bahrain’s communities and cultures.
