Cyber Security Analyst

About the role

This full-time, on-site position in Manama is looking for a Cyber Security Analyst to protect the organisation’s networks, applications and systems. You will monitor security events, investigate alerts and respond quickly to incidents while supporting continuous improvement of the security posture.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor networks, applications and systems for security events using SIEM and other tools.
• Investigate alerts, analyse indicators of compromise and coordinate incident response.
• Conduct vulnerability assessments and assist with penetration-testing activities.
• Recommend and help implement remediation steps to reduce risk.
• Review and harden network and application configurations, supporting secure design and implementation.
• Maintain and update security policies, standards and procedures.
• Prepare security reports and support audit and compliance activities.
• Collaborate with IT and business teams to promote security best practices and stay current with emerging threats.

Required profile

• Strong foundation in cybersecurity principles, frameworks and best practices with hands-on operational security experience.
• Experience in network security, application security and malware/threat analysis.
• Analytical mindset with ability to interpret complex data and document findings clearly.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Relevant certifications such as Security+, CEH, CySA+ are preferred.
• Excellent collaboration skills, ability to manage priorities in a fast-paced environment and maintain confidentiality.

• Firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs, network segmentation and secure network architecture.
• Application security concepts, OWASP Top 10 and secure coding basics.
• Malware analysis and threat-analysis techniques.
• SIEM platforms, endpoint protection solutions and vulnerability scanners.
• Ticketing or case-management systems.
