Director of People & Culture

About the role

Tivoli Hotels & Resorts is seeking an experienced, strategic, and people‑focused Director of People & Culture to lead the pre‑opening and launch of HR and organisational development initiatives for its new Bahrain resort.

Key responsibilities

• Lead all pre‑opening HR planning, including recruitment, onboarding, training and team structuring across all departments.
• Develop and implement HR policies, procedures and SOPs aligned with brand standards, local labour laws and cultural goals.
• Build and maintain a strong recruitment pipeline to ensure timely hiring of skilled talent.
• Design and execute comprehensive training programmes to prepare staff for opening and operational excellence.
• Foster an inclusive, performance‑driven culture consistent with Tivoli and Avani brand values.
• Oversee payroll, benefits, performance management and employee relations, ensuring compliance with Bahrain labour regulations.
• Provide guidance to department heads on HR matters, conflict resolution and talent management.
• Develop succession planning and career development strategies for key positions.
• Collaborate with the Hotel Manager and ownership to align P&C strategies with business objectives.
• Implement HR systems, reporting mechanisms and metrics to monitor workforce performance, engagement and retention.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management or related field.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in international companies with proven HR achievements.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, fluent in English.
• Knowledge of Bahrain labour laws and HR practices preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to drive results and develop people.
• Experience in pre‑opening HR leadership within the hospitality sector.
