Director of Sales (Hotel)

About the role

The Director of Sales leads the hotel’s sales efforts, driving revenue growth and building strong client relationships. This role develops and executes strategic sales plans, manages the sales team, and collaborates with other departments to maximize occupancy and revenue.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies to achieve revenue and occupancy targets.
• Conduct market analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive positioning.
• Lead, mentor, and motivate the sales team to meet and exceed individual and team goals.
• Build and maintain relationships with key clients, corporate accounts, and travel partners.
• Collaborate with the revenue management team on pricing and inventory strategies.
• Monitor and analyze sales performance metrics and adjust tactics accordingly.
• Coordinate with marketing to execute promotional campaigns and create sales promotions.
• Represent the hotel at industry events, trade shows, and networking functions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Hotel Management, Marketing or related field; MBA preferred.
• 2–5 years of experience as a Director of Sales or Sales Manager in a luxury hotel.
• Strong commercial awareness, leadership and communication skills.
• Fluency in English; Arabic is an advantage.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Opera Cloud.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.
