Distribution Manager

About the role

Amalfi Foods, a fast‑growing FMCG food manufacturer in Bahrain, is seeking a Distribution Manager to lead daily distribution and logistics operations across Bahrain and the GCC region. The role focuses on optimizing delivery routes, fleet utilization, and ensuring high service levels for all customers and retail accounts.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage daily distribution and logistics activities.
• Develop and optimise delivery routes, fleet utilisation, and operational efficiency.
• Ensure timely deliveries and maintain strong service levels for customers and retail accounts.
• Coordinate warehouse dispatch and delivery scheduling.
• Monitor KPIs such as delivery performance, returns, productivity, fuel consumption, and route efficiency.
• Collaborate closely with sales, merchandising, warehouse, and production teams.
• Build and develop scalable distribution systems and processes.
• Supervise drivers, van sales teams, dispatch coordinators, and logistics staff.
• Ensure proper product handling, freshness standards, and FIFO procedures.
• Support expansion plans for Bahrain and GCC distribution operations.
• Identify operational improvements and cost‑saving opportunities.
• Maintain discipline, reporting standards, and execution quality within the team.

Required profile

• Proven experience in FMCG distribution, logistics, or supply chain management.
• Strong understanding of retail distribution operations and route management.
• Experience managing fleets, drivers, warehouse dispatch, and distribution teams.
• Highly organised, practical, and execution‑focused.
• Strong leadership and problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast‑paced FMCG environment.
• Strong communication and coordination skills.
• GCC FMCG experience is a strong advantage.
• Valid driving licence.
