Maintenance Operations Control Manager

About the role

The Maintenance Operations Control Manager acts as the central liaison between the maintenance department and all operational units, ensuring aircraft are returned to service safely and efficiently. This role supports the airline’s commitment to high dispatch reliability and customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate AOG (Aircraft on Ground) situations, overseeing the safe and rapid return of aircraft to service.
• Work with Planning and Network Operations Control to optimise maintenance schedules against daily flight operations.
• Ensure scheduled maintenance complies with the Approved Maintenance Programme and Minimum Equipment List (MEL) requirements.
• Monitor and drive timely closure of defects, using reliability data to address repetitive issues.
• Manage on‑board fly‑away kits and third‑party service providers to minimise service interruptions.
• Lead daily Maintenance Operations meetings, documenting minutes and tracking technical issues.
• Submit service requests to Type Certificate Holders and OEMs on behalf of the AMO.

Required profile

• Proven experience in aircraft maintenance coordination or operations control.
• Strong understanding of AOG processes, MEL limitations and maintenance planning.
• Excellent communication skills to interact with multiple internal and external stakeholders.
• Ability to analyse reliability data and implement corrective actions.

Required skills

• Knowledge of aircraft maintenance programmes and MEL compliance.
• Experience with AOG management and defect tracking.
• Familiarity with coordinating third‑party service providers.
