Electrical Engineer – Interior Fit‑Out & MEP Projects

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer with proven expertise in interior fit‑out and MEP construction projects. The successful candidate will plan, execute, supervise, test, commission and hand over electrical systems while ensuring compliance with project specifications, safety standards and client requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and manage all electrical installation activities for fit‑out projects, reviewing drawings, specifications, BOQs and shop drawings.
• Coordinate electrical works with architectural, civil, mechanical and interior fit‑out teams and ensure compliance with local authority regulations and standards.
• Oversee installation of lighting, small power, distribution boards, cable containment, earthing, lightning protection, emergency lighting and low‑current systems.
• Conduct regular site inspections, quality checks and ensure workmanship follows approved shop drawings.
• Coordinate testing and commissioning, prepare reports and support final handover to clients and consultants.
• Prepare material take‑offs, monitor consumption, assist in variation orders and track project budgets.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 5‑10 years of electrical engineering experience, including at least 3 years in commercial or retail fit‑out projects.
• Gulf region experience preferred.
• Proven ability to manage project schedules, budgets and quality standards.

Required skills

• Electrical distribution, LV and ELV systems.
• Lighting, power, fire alarm, structured cabling, CCTV and access control systems.
• Testing and commissioning procedures and local authority regulations.
• AutoCAD, MS Office, MS Excel.
• Revit (preferred), Primavera P6 (preferred), ERP systems.
