Electrical Technician (EWA Licensed)

About the role

The Electrical Technician will be responsible for installing, inspecting, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems across commercial, residential and industrial sites. The role also includes the setup, testing and servicing of electric vehicle (EV) charging stations while ensuring full compliance with Bahrain Electricity and Water Authority (EWA) regulations and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Install, maintain and troubleshoot wiring, distribution boards, circuit breakers, lighting, sockets and power outlets.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on all electrical assets.
• Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics and technical specifications.
• Commission, test and maintain EV charging stations, including cabling, protective devices and isolators.
• Conduct routine inspections and ensure compliance with EWA regulations and safety standards.
• Prepare installation reports, commissioning documents and maintenance records.
• Coordinate with suppliers, contractors and clients during project execution.
• Respond to emergency breakdowns and maintenance requests.

Required profile

• Valid EWA Electrical Technician licence (mandatory).
• Diploma, ITI or technical certificate in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Technology.
• Minimum three years of experience in electrical installation and maintenance.
• Ability to work on commercial, residential and industrial projects.
