Estimator – Construction Tender Specialist

About the role

The Estimator is responsible for coordinating the preparation of competitive and profitable tenders to secure business for the company. The role involves working closely with other estimators and senior staff to ensure accurate calculations and compliance with tender requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Review tender documentation and identify key proposal elements in line with company policies and commercial best practices.
• Develop construction and manpower schedules based on client requirements.
• Prepare and submit technical and commercial proposals, including any required deviations.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of execution efficiency and challenges from current projects for future tenders.
• Monitor local market conditions, tender results and competitor pricing to inform competitive bidding.
• Supervise Estimation Assistants and support cost estimate preparation under senior QS guidance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in the construction industry.
• Professional judgment and ability to prepare and coordinate tenders and estimates.

Required skills

• Knowledge of construction and manpower scheduling.
• Understanding of local market conditions, tender results and competitor pricing.
