Field Support Specialist (Freelance / Dispatch)

About the role

We are seeking a reliable Freelance Field Support Specialist to provide on‑site technical assistance when full‑time engineers are unavailable or when dispatch activities require immediate attention. The role involves hands‑on support for desktops, laptops, printers, and AV equipment across multiple locations.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver on‑site IT support for desktops, laptops, and peripheral devices.
• Install, configure, and maintain hardware and software according to company standards.
• Perform IMAC (Install, Move, Add, Change) activities for IT assets.
• Troubleshoot hardware and software issues, including break‑fix support.
• Coordinate with OEMs and vendors for repairs, replacements, and escalations.
• Manage IT inventory, asset tracking, and documentation.
• Create system images for laptops and desktops.
• Set up and troubleshoot printers and network printers.
• Support conference‑room AV equipment and meeting‑room technologies.
• Provide high‑touch VIP/end‑user support and after‑hours assistance as needed.
• Resolve Office 365, user account, and compliance/security software issues.
• Support both Windows and Mac devices while adhering to SLAs.

Required profile

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently in a dynamic environment.
• Experience managing inventory and coordinating with vendors.
• Willingness to support after‑hours events and recurring meetings.
