Field Support Specialist – IT Support Engineer (Backfill)

About the role

The Field Support Specialist will provide on‑site IT support for desktop, peripheral, and AV equipment across the organization. This 12‑month backfill position requires hands‑on hardware troubleshooting, vendor coordination, and high‑touch service for VIP users.

Key responsibilities

• Install, configure, image and maintain desktops, laptops, printers and other peripherals.
• Manage inventory, coordinate OEM vendor repairs, and handle spare part replacements.
• Provide AV and conference‑room support, including equipment setup and vendor liaison.
• Perform IMAC (Install, Move, Add, Change) services and support mobile phones, scanners and non‑PC devices.
• Deliver VIP support, manage Office 365, DHCP and DNS issues, and ensure SLA compliance.
• Document incidents, resolutions and contribute to the knowledge base.
• Provide L1 LAN network troubleshooting and hands‑on assistance for server, storage and network hardware.
• Label racks, mount servers, handle cable/SFP changes and perform rack‑stacking tasks.

Required profile

• Strong communication skills and ability to work independently on‑site.
• Good knowledge of DHCP, DNS and Office 365 support.
• Experience with Mac device support and inventory management.
• Willingness to work after‑hours for recurring meetings and events.
• Ability to adhere strictly to defined Service Level Agreements.
