Finance Business Partner

About the role

Calo, an app that provides personalized meal plans through nutritional algorithms, is hiring a Finance Business Partner. The role sits at the intersection of Finance, Commercial and Data and is hands-on: you will work closely with business teams to analyze revenue, customers, subscriptions, cohorts, profitability and operational performance, turning data into clear insights and recommendations.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze monthly business performance, revenue, profitability and key commercial metrics
• Own and prepare MRR bridges, including new business, expansion, contraction, churn and other revenue movements
• Perform cohort analysis and analyze subscription and customer economics (retention, churn, ARPU, LTV, CAC)
• Partner with Commercial, Product, Operations and Marketing teams to understand business drivers and opportunities or risks
• Prepare monthly performance reports and explain the key movements behind the numbers
• Support budgeting, forecasting and financial planning; build financial models, business cases and scenario analyses
• Develop dashboards and automated reporting, and work with Data and Engineering to improve data quality and reporting
• Identify opportunities to automate repetitive finance and reporting processes, and support ad hoc analysis for leadership

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business or a related field
• 3-5 years of experience in Commercial Finance, FP&A, Finance Business Partnering, Business Analysis, Revenue Analytics, Management Accounting or a similar role
• Experience in subscription, SaaS, e-commerce, food-tech, retail or marketplace businesses is highly preferred
• Certifications such as CFA, CMA, ACCA or CPA are a plus but not required
• Highly analytical, commercially minded, able to explain financial concepts to non-finance stakeholders, and comfortable working independently in a fast-paced environment

Required skills

• Understanding of MRR and subscription economics, and hands-on cohort, retention and churn analysis
• Financial modeling, budgeting, forecasting and management reporting
• Advanced Excel / Google Sheets
• BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau or Looker are a plus; SQL or experience with Data teams is a plus
• Familiarity with AI and automation tools is a plus
