Compliance & MLRO Officer

About the role

ARP Digital, a licensed Capital Market-Crypto Assets Service Provider (Cat3) in Bahrain, is hiring a full-time, on-site Compliance & MLRO officer. The Compliance Officer and Money Laundering Reporting Officer (COMLRO) manages the firm's regulatory and AML/CTF risks, acts as the main contact with regulators, law enforcement and other authorities, and advises the staff, General Manager and Board on compliance matters. The Board has delegated these responsibilities to the COMLRO.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain constructive relationships with the Financial Intelligence Directorate and the Central Bank of Bahrain
• Implement compliance policies and procedures, monitor and review them against the compliance monitoring plan, and update them with regulatory changes
• Train staff on compliance, AML/CTF and KYC/EDD, and guide staff on regulatory and policy issues
• Identify, log and resolve compliance issues, client complaints and breaches, and assist with client information requests
• Report suspicious transactions to the Bahrain FIU and file regulatory reports and the Annual AML Return on time
• Act as the point of contact for the CBB and Bahrain FIU, responding promptly to information requests
• Keep the Senior Management, SEO and Board informed of compliance matters and their implications for business strategy
• Coordinate with Operations and Operational Risk Management on Key Risk Indicators and help select, test and implement compliance reporting systems
