Finance Officer

About the role

Our client, a leading domestic multinational expanding across key international markets, is seeking a Finance Officer for its Bahrain branch. The role supports the Financial Controller in delivering accurate financial statements, management reports, and regulatory filings.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Financial Controller in preparing timely financial statements in accordance with IAS and IFRS.
• Prepare and manage management reporting, ensuring deadlines are met for senior management and regional offices.
• Compile and review periodic reports required by the Central Bank of Bahrain to mitigate penalties and reputational risk.
• Support implementation of new accounting standards and VAT compliance requirements.
• Participate in budgeting exercises, analyse variances, and discuss findings with business heads.
• Provide accurate information to internal and external auditors and address identified risks.
• Maintain effective communication with internal and external stakeholders to resolve issues promptly.
• Implement account ownership and reconciliation processes to strengthen financial reporting controls.

Required profile

• Professional qualification: ACCA or MBA in Finance.
• Minimum three years of relevant banking experience.
