Firmware Manager

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Firmware Manager to lead the development and delivery of embedded firmware across our hardware‑based products and platforms. This senior position will guide technical strategy, oversee the full development lifecycle, and ensure high‑quality, reliable solutions for next‑generation technologies.

Key responsibilities

• Lead firmware development teams and embedded software engineering initiatives.
• Define firmware architecture, technical roadmaps, and development strategies.
• Oversee design, development, testing, deployment, and validation of embedded firmware.
• Collaborate with hardware, software, product, and manufacturing teams.
• Manage the firmware lifecycle, including requirements, coding, testing, and release management.
• Establish coding standards, engineering practices, and quality processes.
• Drive optimization for performance, reliability, power efficiency, and scalability.
• Support hardware integration, debugging, and production readiness.
• Evaluate emerging embedded technologies and engineering approaches.
• Mentor engineers and build high‑performing technical teams.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Embedded Systems or related field.
• 8–12+ years of experience in firmware development, embedded systems engineering, or hardware‑software integration.
• Proven experience leading firmware or embedded engineering teams.
• Strong leadership, communication, analytical, and problem‑solving abilities.
• Experience working with global engineering teams in a fully remote environment.

Required skills

• Embedded C/C++ programming.
• Real‑time operating systems (RTOS) such as FreeRTOS.
• Microcontroller development, especially ARM Cortex‑M.
• Hardware interfaces and integration.
• Version control systems (e.g., Git).
• Familiarity with Zephyr RTOS.
