Generator & HVAC Technician – Secret Clearance (Bahrain)

About the role

We are seeking a Generator & HVAC Technician to support U.S. Army field operations in Bahrain and the surrounding region. The role involves maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing a range of military‑spec and commercial generators (3‑150 kW) and HVAC systems, ensuring reliable power and climate control for mission‑critical equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Perform maintenance, installation, and removal of 3 kW to 150 kW generators in both fixed and mobile locations.
• Troubleshoot and repair AC/DC electrical systems, electronic control modules, wiring, and accessories.
• Diagnose, service, and repair HVAC units, chillers, and environmental control units, including trailer‑mounted equipment.
• Operate load banks for generator testing and fabricate wire harnesses with soldered connections.
• Maintain UPS systems and conduct field and shop‑based repairs.
• Provide technical training to site personnel and support other assigned duties.

Required profile

• U.S. citizenship with an active Secret security clearance (or ability to obtain).
• Valid U.S. passport (minimum 2 years), driver’s license and international driver’s permit.
• High school diploma (or equivalent higher education with relevant experience).
• Minimum 3 years of hands‑on experience with diesel generators and HVAC systems.
• Ability to meet CRC fitness standards for deployment to Southwest Asia.

Required skills

• Diesel generator maintenance and troubleshooting.
• HVAC repair, refrigerant handling, and brazing of copper tubing.
• Load bank operation and electrical wiring.
• Fabrication of wire harnesses and soldering.
• Knowledge of generator parallel systems and switchgear.
• Section 608 EPA certification (preferred).
