Guest Services Officer - Bahrain International Airport

About the role

AirAsia X is looking for a Guest Services Officer for Bahrain International Airport, a full-time position reporting to the Station Manager. The officer maintains the highest standards of safety, security and service for ground operations and ensures smooth daily operations at the check-in counter, gate management and arrival hall.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare daily operations reports for guest services at the check-in counter, gate management and arrival hall.
• Plan staff before operations begin: update them on information, brief and debrief, assign staff to their areas and make sure tools are available and in order.
• Ensure the check-in counter opens 4 hours before departure and that all systems (conveyor, BHS, tubs, FIDS) are running.
• Monitor staff movement and discipline, and report to the supervisor for further action when needed.
• React promptly to delays and inform the on-duty supervisor so they can take action.
• Ensure all standard operating procedures are followed according to GOM, and comply with airline standards, safety performance, applicable laws and procedures.

Required profile

• Friendly, mature, humble, honest and meticulous.
• Self-starter who can perform under pressure in a challenging environment.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills, with discretion and tact when dealing with people.
• Ability to work on shifts.

Required skills

• Proficiency in spoken and written English and Bahasa Malaysia, or the local language where staff are based.
