Head of Secondary School

About the role

The school is seeking an experienced Head of Secondary School to lead the secondary phase, drive continuous improvement and uphold the highest standards of teaching and learning within a British curriculum environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the secondary school team to achieve academic excellence and school improvement targets.
• Oversee curriculum delivery from EYFS through to secondary, ensuring alignment with British standards.
• Maintain rigorous safeguarding practices and ensure compliance with statutory duties and regulatory requirements.
• Build strong relationships with staff, students, parents and the wider school community.
• Represent the school in an international or expatriate context, promoting its ethos and values.

Required profile

• A bachelor's degree in Education or a related field.
• A recognised teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, QTS).
• Significant experience in a senior leadership role within a British curriculum school.
• Proven track record of school improvement and raising teaching standards.
• Deep understanding of safeguarding, statutory duties and regulatory compliance.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience in an international or expatriate school setting is advantageous.
